These infrared panels are designed for ceiling mounted fitting; however, they can also be used as a wall mounted solution if desired. Please note that due to their lower wattages, their ‘heats up to’ areas will be reduced when used as wall heaters.
The 270w panel can be used in standard office ceiling grids and simply slots into place with no accessories or kits needed. Otherwise, all of the panels will need to be purchased with either the direct mounting kit or suspension kit, both of which are sold separately.
The signal range between the wireless temperature sensor and the panel receiver is 5m – if they are outside of this range, they may experience difficulty pairing.
Ecostrad Accent iQ panels are suitable for use in bathrooms provided they are installed in zones 2 or 3 as per the manufacturer’s guidelines. If they are to be installed in a bathroom, they must always be hardwired into a fused spur by a professional electrician. Always defer to the manufacturer’s guidelines regarding the installation and suitability of their products for use in bathrooms.
If you are planning to install multiple heaters, please consult an electrician beforehand to avoid overloading the ring main of your property. They will be able to provide further advice on your project and hardwire your heaters to the mains.
The 550w Ecostrad Accent iQ WiFi Controlled Infrared Ceiling Panel is a great, low-key way of comfortably heating larger rooms with its unobtrusive fitting. It directs heat down toward the spaces you use throughout the day to evenly bring the whole room up to the perfect temperature.
Accent iQ panels heat rooms using far infrared, which is a natural feeling warmth that mimics the type of heat produced by our own bodies. Infrared heat is absorbed by surrounding objects, like the walls, floor and ceiling, to create a lasting warmth that’s evenly distributed throughout the room. As brickwork retains infrared radiant heat, you can warm spaces using less energy and keep running costs to an absolute minimum. The Accent iQ uses a carbon crystal film element on the inside of the panel which efficiently conducts heat and allows the heater to be super lightweight. For extra protection, these elements also have a fire-resistant coating which is patented and unique to the product.
Every Accent iQ infrared panel is ready for WiFi control the moment it’s plugged in. Just download the Smart Life app to your phone and pair it to each of the heaters in your system – it’s that simple. No gateway accessories are needed because the panels have a receiver that communicates directly with your home router. Once they’re connected, the Smart Life app allows you to create multiple in-depth heating schedules for your infrared panels that you can micro-manage down to each individual minute. The Smart Life app also unlocks Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant voice control, so if you have a smart speaker, you won’t even need to lift a finger to adjust your heating.
Accent iQ infrared ceiling panels come with a wireless sensor that communicates temperature readings to the Smart Life app. The sensors can be paired to any number of Accent iQ panels and give you the option of grouping heaters together to follow the same schedule. The sensor can be wall mounted or free standing and comes with its own desk stand for convenient placement. If you would prefer to use the heater with an external controller, you can simply use the bypass switch on the rear of the panel which gives you the option of changing your control preference further down the line.
This panel can be installed in two different ways. It can be purchased with a direct mounting kit for a fitting that hugs the ceiling or purchased with a suspension kit so that it can hang down at the height of your choosing.
