The Stratus is suitable for DIY installation when plugged into a socket with an appropriate IP rating. For permanent fitting outside, this patio heater must be installed by a professional electrician and hardwired into the mains of your property.
The Stratus can only be wall mounted and is not suitable for ceiling mounted installation. It comes with raked brackets that offer 5 different angles for easy flexibility. Always ensure that the correct clearance distances are observed: the Stratus must be installed more than 180cm from the floor and at least 50cm from the ceiling and any adjacent walls. Please read the manual for further information.
This patio heater comes with a UK fitted plug and a 1.8m cable.
With an IP65 rating, the Stratus is resistant to low pressure jets of water and can prevent the ingress of fine particles. This rating is more than suitable for permanent installation outside in most cases, however, for particularly exposed locations, you may require a product with a higher protection rating.
Built with convenience in mind, the Stratus Infrared Patio Heater is efficient and easy to use. Its smooth, curved design and silver finish allows it to blend in seamlessly with any outdoor space, from domestic gardens to commercial terraces.
The Stratus provides mediumwave, radiant warmth that's comfortable to sit under for long periods of time. This type of heat isn’t easily blown away by breezes, meaning you can still feel its effects even during the cooler months. Its ultra-low glare, carbon filament bulb produces a soft ruby light, offering more discreet heating so you can create the perfect ambience in your garden. Highly responsive, this patio heater supplies warmth in under 10 seconds after being switched on, for instant heat right when you need it.
Intuitive, convenient and efficient, the Stratus is a cut above the rest when it comes to control. It offers simple manual adjustment through a large, touchscreen display, which is colour coded for easy readability. Red symbols show when a function is active and blue symbols show when a function is inactive, so you can easily determine which settings are on or off.
For full controllability, use the remote provided to switch between two different output levels. Select P1 for 1000w output and save energy on those warmer days, or P2 for 2000w to receive maximum output during the winter. Unlike other patio heaters, the Stratus offers nine different intervals of intensity ranging from F1 – F9, allowing you to tailor your heating to your own needs. The intensity of each level depends on whether the P1 or P2 output has been set, with P1+F1 being the lowest overall setting and P2+F9 being the highest.
Featuring a handy timer function that lets you program your heating on an hourly basis for up to 24 hours, personalising your heating to match your lifestyle has never been easier.
With a robust IP65 weatherproof rating, the Stratus can be installed outdoors with complete confidence. It covers outside areas of up to 12m2 making it ideal for any domestic garden or patio, however multiple heaters can also be used for larger spaces, such as beer gardens and restaurant terraces.
When plugged into a socket with an appropriate IP rating, the Stratus is compatible with DIY installation and can be wall mounted using the brackets provided. Hardwired installation must be carried out by a professional electrician, however this is usually a straightforward process with no lengthy callouts required.
Infrared heating supplies radiant warmth which travels through the air in a wave, directly warming people and objects that it comes into contact with. This makes infrared heaters particularly effective for hard-to-heat interiors or open outdoor spaces as they project heat to where it’s needed most. The type of heat they provide is just like the warmth felt from the sun’s rays and can make your outdoor seating areas a comfortable haven even if the ambient air temperature is less than ideal.
