The Moda Onyx is IP22 rated and not suitable for bathroom installation.
Please note: this product is a panel heater and should only be used for supplementary heating purposes and not as a primary domestic heat source. All panel heaters – whatever the make, design or price – use exposed heating elements which can reach high internal temperatures and may cause dust particles in the air to burn when they pass through the unit. In particularly dusty environments, this could cause wall blackening. To help prevent this, we recommend cleaning the heater on a regular basis and minimising the production of dust or smoke in the environment.
An elegant, slimline convection heater that makes a statement, the Moda Onyx is contemporary electric heating at its finest. Its glossy façade and curved corners add a touch of delicacy to its bold black colourway, its balanced aesthetic making it a perfect addition to various modern design schemes.
The Onyx is controlled by a dimmable touchscreen interface that sits in the top right-hand corner of the unit. Discreet yet accessible, a whole host of functions are a touch away, including temperature control, mode setting and a 1–24-hour countdown timer - perfect for set-and-forget heating.
With simple buttons, clear icons and large numbers, the panel is convenient and user-friendly, so there’s no hoping for the best involved. Coming in tow with your heater is a set of detailed, coherent instructions, written by us, so getting accustomed to the Onyx’s functions is a pain-free experience.
Alongside its manual programming, the Onyx is primed for WiFi control. Simply download the SmartLife or Tuya app on your smartphone to seamlessly connect to your unit, and effortlessly bring all control functions to the palm of your hand. When connected to a stable network connection, you can manage your Onyx from anywhere in the world, making it a natural choice for holiday homes and outhouses.
Both apps make setting 24/7 schedules easy, providing a clear weekly layout so it is straightforward to visualise what the Onyx’s routine will look like. Select between Comfort, Eco and Anti-Frost modes for every hour of the day in an intuitive drag and drop manner, mirroring other apps on your smartphone. Pairing the Onyx with an Amazon Alexa or Google Home smart speaker is also achievable from the app, offering a totally handsfree way of managing your unit.
The Onyx delivers its fast and durable heat through convection, warming surrounding air and providing comfort in minutes. Behind its glass front panel is a sturdy aluminium X-bar element that heats the air as it naturally circulates around a room, an ideal heating method for areas that are used less frequently. This makes it perfect for conservatories, spare rooms and utility spaces, but is not suitable as a primary heat source.
